Multi apparatusBrandy Leary

(classes in English)

Examining our relationship to apparatus as an evolving, improvisational dialogue that works through dissonance and the unexpected.  Can we re-contextualize the body and object through the lens of acrobatic physicality and aerial approaches? Working through presence, score and task approaches we will radically research alternative possibilities drawing on known vocabularies as well as evolving new ones seeking to unsettle ourselves from our own habits in the air to create more space for opportunity and development.  This class is an opportunity to research possibilities of movement among many different apparatuses, allow for a detailed examination of how our movement ideas can shift and grow as we experience the context of multiple apparatus.
